Join Growing in the Garden Academy
I look forward to teaching each class in the Growing in the Garden Academy. It’s one of my favorite parts of what I do. Every month brings a chance to share what I’ve learned about a gardening topic and connect with a kind, supportive group of gardeners who show up ready to learn and ask great questions.
The group brings energy and curiosity to every session. I love seeing how members take what we talk about and apply it in their own gardens. It’s a space to keep learning, feel encouraged, and grow together throughout the year.
If you are looking for monthly gardening guidance, practical advice for hot climates, and a community that learns together, the Academy is a great fit. It is more than just a monthly class. Growing in the Garden Academy gives you the chance to ask questions, learn from timely topics, and follow along with real-life examples from my Arizona garden.
Some members are just getting started. Others have been gardening for years. Everyone comes ready to grow, and the Academy gives you the tools and support to do just that.

Ask Your Questions and Get Real Answers
At the end of every class, I always leave time for a live Q&A session. You can ask me anything, even if it has nothing to do with the day’s topic. This is your chance to get your specific question answered by someone gardening in the same climate and conditions as you are.
These sessions keep me on my toes, make me think, and often inspire me with the thoughtful and practical questions you ask. I answer every question, one by one, as clearly and helpfully as I can.
If you cannot attend live, you can still ask a question ahead of time, and I will answer it during the class. You can then watch the reply later at your convenience.

Learn Anytime With Over 3 Years of Past Classes
When you join the Academy, you do not just get access to this month’s class. You unlock a full library of gardening education that covers more than three years of topics.
Want to revisit how to build healthy soil? Curious about tomato pruning, seed starting, or succession planting? The past class library has something for just about every season and skill level, and you can watch anytime.

A Look Inside My Garden Journal
If you join the Low Desert Tips tier, you will also receive access to my twice-monthly garden journal. These are real updates from my Arizona garden that share:
- What I am planting, harvesting, and fertilizing
- Which seeds I’m starting indoors
- The pests causing issues in my garden and how I’m responding
- What is going well and not so well

It is an honest look at my garden in real time, and many members say it is their favorite part of the Academy.
You also get access to three years of past journal entries, all organized by month. This is a valuable way to compare year to year and see what might be coming next in your garden.
